Located on our famous Dam square in a very old building and very suitable, above the diamond shop Gassan,

is hotel 27.

The building it is located in, the so called Grand Industrial Club, is famous for its gentlemen society. They would organise book readings to actually cover up the real purpose which was talking politics. 

The building was designed specially for the Grand Club and it was finished in 1916. Through the unity thus obtained between architecture and design, Industria is one of the illustrious lines of buildings from the early 20th century that has been designed as a 'community art', in which art and crafts support and accentuate the architecture.

When you’re escorted to the elevator by the lovely welcoming people, the 3rd floor is where you step through the door to see a bar with an all year Christmas kind of coziness.

 

You’ll have a view over Amsterdam’s most central point.

On the left of the bar is a door to the VIP lounge, but we will choose the right, which will show us the smoking lounge.

 

But lets first order a drink.

We are ladies of flavour so we’ll choose a cocktail, which preferably will be the best pairing with the cigars we would like to smoke.

The people behind the bar are the best cocktail mixologists. They make way more than just a cocktail; Erik van Beek makes an exquisite Cariño with which he won the 10th Bacardi legacy competition 2018.

This cocktail with Greek yoghurt pairs lovely with our chosen cigar CAO Brazilia Samba. This cigar is a little sweet and because of the thick structure and hint of sour, that'll be just the perfect combination!

 

Not only are they good at making cocktails, they’ll make you feel as if you are a guest in their house.

For everybody there’s something to enjoy; from a Macallan rare cask to a shot of moonshine.

The passion of our bartenders we find in the with love made creamy cocktails we, as girls, love so much!
